Trisana N. Spence is an associate in the Hartford, Connecticut, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. where she represents employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.
Trisana entered the legal profession at 16 after being selected to intern at a local Connecticut law firm and serving as a paralegal for this firm for approximately five years. While in law school, Trisana served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa Bryant of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She also served as Note and Comments editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and as a teaching assistant for her law school’s legal research and writing course. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Trisana was a law clerk for the Connecticut Superior Court.
Trisana conducts internal investigations of publicly traded, privately held, and not-for-profit organizations, police departments, and educational institutions in relation to allegations of fraud, financial impropriety, conflicts of interest, code of conduct violations, Procurement Integrity Act violations, and whistleblower claims under Dodd-Frank, SOX and other federal, state and local laws.
She also regularly advises and defends employers in employment-related litigation involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, the OSH Act and/or other state and federal law claims brought against employers in various forums, ranging from administrative agencies to state and federal courts.
