Todd is a seasoned patent prosecutor and portfolio manager who helps clients maximize the value of their intellectual property assets. His practice includes counseling clients on portfolio strategies, preparing and prosecuting patent applications and advising and representing clients in licensing transactions. He also provides strategic portfolio assessment and assists start-up companies with developing their initial IP strategies and goals.
Todd also advises and represents pharmaceutical and biotech clients in areas where intellectual property law and Food and Drug Administration law intersect, such as patent term extensions and Orange Book listings.
In addition, Todd represents clients in reexamination and reissue proceedings and other post-grant proceedings, including inter partes disputes in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Todd also has substantial patent and trade secret litigation experience in the life sciences sector. His experience in these proceedings guides his counseling, procurement and post-grant practices.
Todd primarily works with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. His work has included matters involving small molecule therapeutics, antibodies, antibody production, RNAi technologies, as well as life science-based consumer products.
