Tim Perrin helps clients communicate their advocacy goals to policymakers throughout the federal government by drawing on his 12-plus years of public-policy experience.
Tim’s areas of focus include:
- Working directly with clients to develop strategies to achieve their legislative and regulatory agendas and representing their interests before Congress and federal agencies
- Complementing clients’ advocacy efforts by analyzing the effect of legislation and regulatory action and conducting legislative research to inform advocacy action
Tim uses his education and experience in journalism and public relations to help clients frame and communicate policy matters for maximum impact. In the past, Tim served as a government affairs representative at the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, a national advocacy organization representing physicians and older adults. During his tenure, Tim advocated for federal funding for health care programs serving seniors before the Appropriations Committees in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. He also managed the association’s nationwide grassroots advocacy program, working to motivate association members to communicate their concerns before Congress. Tim also served on the staff of U.S. Representative Floyd Spence (South Carolina) as a University of South Carolina Washington Fellow.
