Timothy E. Reilly's practice encompasses all aspects of commercial litigation. His trial experience includes traditional court and jury cases, as well as, administrative and appellate proceedings.
In the areas of construction and real estate development, he has litigated construction defect claims relating to all phases of construction ranging from expansive soils to roofing services. When payment issues arise he assists clients in resolving disputes, including mechanic’s lien claims. He also counsels owners, developers, and contractors regarding their transactions in order to minimize their risks. Additionally, Mr. Reilly testifies before the Colorado legislature on issues affecting the construction industry.
He provides advice to clients on a variety of insurance issues. His past experience includes serving as Division Counsel and Assistant Attorney General with the South Dakota Division of Insurance from 1994 to 1998. In that capacity, he prosecuted company and agent violations of the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, drafted legislation and administrative rules, and lobbied insurance matters during legislative session.
