Sun Ah (Michelle) Park is a bilingual attorney representing international and national commercial clients in product liability, general liability and complex reinsurance matters in state, federal and appellate courts. She is an experienced litigator who has handled a wide range of civil matters from complex commercial contracts to employment and labor, trademark, real estate transactions and immigration. Clients particularly appreciate Michelle’s responsiveness, communication skills and diligence in devising cost-conscious legal strategies.
Michelle excels in assisting multinational clients with their legal challenges. In particular, in her role as a national counsel in collaboration with several senior partners, Michelle is responsible for coordinating product liability defenses for clients in the United States and in Canada. She frequently assists in pre-suit product liability investigations from the earliest stage, working closely with expert engineers to investigate, determine the cause and resolve the matter swiftly. Michelle’s experience with multiple business enterprises has helped her develop an exceptional client-centric approach with emphasis on performance and results.
Furthermore, Michelle’s dedication and active involvement in the community has been recognized through her selection as co-chair of her law school alumni event to raise scholarships for students of color, serving as a member of the board of directors at a non-profit organization, sitting on a panel for a minority bar association, leading a conversation on diversity and inclusion at her law school, and publishing in-depth articles in a major Korean newspaper.
Michelle was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the New York State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and has completed intensive mediation training along with judges and other seasoned attorneys. While in law school, Michelle was competitively selected as a student attorney in the Immigration Justice Clinic, writing bills and coordinating legal strategy for a major political campaign, which subsequently became New York City law. After a summer internship in the white collar crimes bureau at the Nassau County District Attorney's office, Michelle represented indigent clients for a year through the Criminal Defense Clinic.
