Sean Worley is a Policy Advisor with Nelson Mullins affiliate EducationCounsel and supports clients navigate the often rapidly evolving federal landscape. Sean works in partnership with clients to successfully advance their equity-focused priorities related to early childhood education and K-12 education. As a former advisor to a school-based Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), Sean takes special pride in advancing work to create more inclusive, equitable, and affirming environments for LGBTQ+ students and educators.
Prior to joining EducationCounsel, Sean worked as a high school science teacher and instructional coach with DC Public Schools. He began his career in education as a 2013 Teach for America corps member in Sacramento, California. Sean has also served as an intern with the House Committee on Education and Workforce, where he worked extensively on monitoring state implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
Sean earned a Master in Education Policy and Leadership from American University, and earned a Bachelor in Psychology, with a minor in Health Care Ethics, from Saint Louis University.
