Professional Biography

Diligent, driven and responsive, Samantha Bartley counsels clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters. Having experience in the private, nonprofit, and government sectors, Samantha uses her diverse insight to assist employers with risk management and conflict resolution. Samantha prides herself on being passionate, compassionate and agile. Samantha’s day-to-day involves collaborating with clients to craft workable solutions to employment discrimination, wage and hour, harassment, wrongful termination and affirmative action challenges. As a labor and employment summer associate at Barnes & Thornburg, Samantha drafted position statements to submit to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and employment agreements. She also assisted in the completion of a 50-state survey of unincorporated associations and conducted research pertaining to the formation of nonprofit corporations. Samantha also gained experience as a legal clerk at Century Communities, Inc., a legal intern at Wahoo Fitness and a judicial extern at Fulton County Superior Court for the Honorable Thomas Cox. As a judicial extern, she researched applicable statutes and case law, drafted orders and provided recommendations to the judge on motions filed by the parties. Prior to her legal career, Samantha served as a human resources officer in the Army National Guard. Her military service included a deployment to Ukraine, where she served as principal adviser to the commander for all matters concerning human resource support, established standard operating procedures regarding personnel matters and oversaw evaluation reports and the awards program. Samantha is a registered neutral mediator through the Fulton County Landlord/Tenant Mediation Program.
