Ryan Nichols is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities group. He focuses his practice on representing clients in executive compensation and corporate matters, including some of the firm’s public securities team (PCAT) clients. Ryan’s executive compensation practice involves advising private and public company clients in all areas of executive and director compensation, including securities filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the design and administration of equity-based compensation plans, employment agreements, cash incentive plans, change in control arrangements, severance and separation arrangements, director compensation plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans.
In addition, Ryan advises private equity firms and other companies on their corporate related matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Womble Bond Dickinson, Ryan worked in the Executive Compensation Group in the New York office of an international law firm focusing on all executive compensation matters for public and private company clients, and he also worked in the corporate group of a large southeastern law firm where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, and corporate governance issues.
