Robert Wang advises clients on matters involving China and Southeast Asia. A non-lawyer, Mr. Wang previously worked at the U.S. Department of State as a career Foreign Service Officer for more than 30 years, with postings in Mainland China (Beijing and Shanghai), Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and as the desk officer for Cambodia. From 2013-2015, he served as the U.S. Senior Official to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the Deputy Director of the American Institute in Taiwan. Mr. Wang was also a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and adjunct professor at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
