Robert Lamkin is a partner at the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on energy trading and energy regulatory matters.
Rob represents energy trading firms, electric power generators, renewables project developers and other energy industry participants in a variety of matters. Most recently, Rob has represented clients in a variety of wholesale and retail energy trading matters, including negotiation of energy trading documentation (ISDA, EEI, NAESB and WSPP master agreements), physical and financial trade documentation, power purchase agreements, renewable energy credit (REC) agreements and other energy agreements and issues. Rob also regularly represents clients in a variety of federal and state regulatory matters, including matters arising under the Federal Power Act, the Public Utility Holding Company Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act and the Commodity Exchange Act as amended by the Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. He has held the position of Assistant Secretary and Counsel for the Northeast Power Coordinating Council from 2002-2006.
