Rob Marshall leads the cross-border executive compensation and benefits practice at McDermott. For over 25 years he has advised public and private companies and their senior executives on executive compensation and equity plan issues on a global basis.
Rob has implemented cross-border compensation and HR programs in more than 140 countries. He regularly advises companies on the treatment of these programs in corporate transactions ranging from mergers and acquisition, spin-offs and divestitures, as well as the tax treatment of cross-border employees participating in these programs and integration issues post-closing.
Rob is an internationally recognized leader in his practice area and is a frequent speaker at executive compensation and global equity conferences. He also has authored numerous articles on cross-border issues relating to global plan design, regulatory compliance and corporate transaction issues.
Rob is dual licensed to practice in both the United Kingdom and California, and spends substantial time in Silicon Valley where he maintains a significant start-up practice. He also represents both public and private companies with their day-to-day executive compensation matters and global expansion issues.
