Rachel D. Gebaide is a Partner in the firm and Chair of the Labor and Employment Law practice. Ms. Gebaide represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies in all matters pertaining to employment law including, without limitation, claims arising under Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Ms. Gebaide also represents employers in state discrimination, tort and contract suits arising from the employment relationship. Ms. Gebaide works with employers to provide strategic advice on all types of employment matters, including legal compliance, wage and hour audits, reductions-in-force, and litigation avoidance strategies. Ms. Gebaide also assists employers with the creation and revision of employment agreements, non-competition agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
Ms. Gebaide is a frequent speaker on employment law issues, most recently pertaining to Fair Labor Standards Act compliance and litigation. She also writes on employment law developments for client-focused publications as well as for legal industry news outlets.
