Professional Biography

Philip Duclos is an associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Clients trust Philip because he serves as their strategic partner, simplifying complex problems and zealously advocating on their behalf. He has practiced before multiple state and federal courts, leading multiple trial and appellate teams to swift and decisive victories in complex and high stakes cases. He pinpoints solutions from day one, creating endgame strategies to protect his clients’ interests if arbitration, trials, or appeals become necessary.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Philip represented and counseled clients at a boutique commercial litigation firm, worked as a federal immigration attorney, and served as a public defender. While attending law school, he served as managing editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and earned the distinguished Morris P. Glushien Prize for Outstanding Student Note. He also participated in federal appellate clinics, mock trial, and moot court; published a Note on the legal implications of decreasing scarcity; and studied in Paris at L’École de Droit de la Sorbonne, writing extensively about the implications of protected designations of origin.
