Professional Biography

Paul Olszowka is a partner in the Chicago office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and serves as co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice Group. He has substantial experience in the following areas.

Antitrust and Commercial Litigation: Mr. Olszowka’s litigation experience includes arbitrations and jury trials in antitrust, patent, and trade secret and unfair competition matters. He has experience with criminal and civil enforcement actions brought by federal and state agencies, class actions, and multi-district litigation. He has worked with clients in the agricultural equipment, automotive, electrical products, nuclear fuel, health care, and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Olszowka regularly counsels clients on competition issues and marketing, pricing, and distribution practices.

Internal Investigations: He also has experience coordinating and conducting investigations related to governmental inquiries and regulatory compliance, including matters before the Federal Trade Commission, the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Document Management: Mr. Olszowka’s litigation, investigation, and regulatory compliance matters have involved issues in modern discovery, including the collection and search of electronic documents and employment of forensic discovery tools. He also assists clients with corporate record management issues and counsels on best practices for document control and maintenance.

In addition to his client work, Mr. Olszowka is an adjunct law professor at Northwestern University where he a trial advocacy instructor and at DePaul University where he teaches a seminar on drafting commercial contracts.
