Omur Celmanbet specializes in applying economic analysis in matters related to antitrust, intellectual property, and other complex litigation. Dr. Celmanbet is involved with clients in all phases of litigation, including identifying case strategy, working with experts to develop analyses, and preparing experts for deposition and trial testimony. Her experience spans a variety of industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, electronics, semiconductors, chemicals, energy, and entertainment.
In antitrust and competition cases, she has addressed class certification, liability, and damages issues. Her work has involved matters that concerned allegations of bundling, tying, exclusive dealings, market foreclosure, market manipulation, supply restrictions, and price fixing. Dr. Celmanbet has also handled intellectual property matters such as patents, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Celmanbet taught economics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
