Omar M. Aniff is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins. Mr. Aniff primarily specializes in defending employers in wage and hour class actions and California’s Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) representative actions. Mr. Aniff has represented clients in varying industries from local franchisees to multi-national trucking and logistics companies. His representation of employers, big and small and in varying industries, have led to Mr. Aniff being versatile, dynamic, and responsive to the needs of employers of all sizes, market positions, and industries.
Mr. Aniff routinely defends employers in putative class actions and PAGA representative actions comprised of potentially tens of thousands of employees, which involve complex procedural and evidentiary hurdles. In doing so, Mr. Aniff has conducted workplace investigations into employers’ wage and hour practices, managed complex discovery matters through the lifespan of the lawsuit, and has successfully brought and opposed dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment, amongst other things. Through his diligence in litigation, his clients have been able to approach settlement negotiations with confidence and poise, and they have been able to achieve results exceeding their expectations.
