Nusra Ismail is an Associate in the Chicago office of Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Litigation practice area.
Ms. Ismail has extensive experience representing clients across a wide variety of industries. Her practice includes defending and counseling clients through data privacy and cybersecurity incidents, including system-wide breaches, cyber extortions involving ransomware attacks, breaches concerning HIPAA-protected data and incidents involving wrongful employee conduct.
Ms. Ismail also has experience representing clients in investigations and proceedings brought by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice. She has defended clients on matters involving allegations of securities fraud, insider trading and consumer fraud.
Ms. Ismail’s other representative work includes litigating cases related to breach of contract, restrictive covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duties.
Prior to working at Vedder Price, Ms. Ismail served as a Law Clerk at the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection. She also assisted applicants seeking Social Security Disability Benefits through Prairie State Legal Services. While in law school, Ms. Ismail was a four-time CALI Award Winner and served as the Chief Executive Editor of the Washington University Law Review.
