Neal A. Brackett is an associate in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg and a member of the firm's Litigation Department and White Collar and Investigation Practice Group.
Neal represents public and individual clients in complex civil litigation, often involving high stakes commercial claims or civil enforcement of criminal liability. He represents clients in a variety of complex business and commercial litigation disputes, including issues involving contracts, warranties, business torts, multidistrict litigation, trade secrets, antitrust and product liability. He has experience conducting internal investigations for clients as well as coordinating responses to government subpoenas and inquiries. He has assisted companies in projects of all sizes, ranging in scope from a company's investigation relating to alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) to individual employee misconduct. He has been involved in cases in federal and state jurisdictions throughout the United States, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration. Neal is experienced in all phases of litigation ' from pre-suit negotiations to prosecution and defense of claims, discovery, motion practice, preparation for trial and preservation of issues for appeal.
Neal served on the attorney team assisting partner Larry Mackey, the independent corporate compliance monitor for a large U.S. medical device manufacturer and distributor, pursuant to the company's deferred prosecution agreements with the U.S. government.
