Nancy A. Mitchell is Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, a Regional Operating Shareholder, and Co-Managing Shareholder for the New York office. She has more than 30 years of experience in restructuring and corporate finance as both an attorney and an investment banker.
Nancy's practice focuses on representing debtors, acquirers and creditors in complex distressed situations that require creative and sophisticated financial solutions. She regularly works on complex distressed deals that involve identifying common ground between the constituents or points of leverage to drive negotiations. Nancy uses her background as both an attorney and investment banker to navigate the interplay between business and law and engineer business-oriented solutions unique to each client's legal and regulatory needs.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as an Executive Director for CIBC World Markets Corp. where she was a member of the restructuring/leveraged finance team that handled negotiation and development of financial models for complex restructuring transactions.
