Mohammad Kamran is a Member of the International Dispute Resolution and Investigations Practice at the multi-skilled, research based international law firm, Nishith Desai Associates (www.nishithdesai.com) with offices in Mumbai, Silicon Valley, Bangalore, Munich, Singapore, New Delhi and New York. He is also an integral member of the Global Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice at the firm. Kamran graduated from National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi and holds an Honors degree in B. A. LL.B. (Hons.). He is registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra. He focuses on international commercial arbitrations, cross-border litigations, white-collar investigations and bankruptcy and insolvency. He represents wide range of corporate clients in complex contentious situations. He is also involved in conducting internal investigations for corporate clients. His work mainly involves high value private equity/debt disputes, fraud disputes and construction disputes across industries such as investment funds, banking and finance, hospitality, healthcare, education, and information technology. He has significant expertise in security enforcement and is frequently involved in matters with multiple proceedings and arbitrations across several jurisdictions.
He consistently writes on latest issues and developments in law and has been published by various legal journals. He also joins as panelist on various webinars on Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Director Liabilities, Security Enforcement and Construction Disputes. His most recent appearance was on a Construction Disputes Webinar organized in association with Society of Construction Law, India.
