Melissa’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters, with an emphasis on initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. She has experience representing investment banking firms and companies in IPOs as well as counseling clients on SEC reporting obligations and corporate governance. She also advises blockchain and cryptocurrency companies on securities law compliance, fund formation, and transactions. Melissa represents clients in a wide variety of industries, including life sciences, biotechnology, financial services, and fintech.
Prior to joining Mintz, Melissa worked on capital markets transactions for middle market companies, SEC disclosures, and general corporate matters at a San Francisco-based global law firm and an international law firm. She also served as the general counsel for a data start-up.
After law school, Melissa served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ralph K. Winter Jr., a Senior Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Melissa earned a certificate in Biomedical Regulatory Affairs from the University of Washington.
