Professional Biography

Mehran Kamranfar is an employment associate in the Labour & Employment Practice Group based in our London office, and advises on a broad range of contentious, non-contentious and advisory matters.

Mehran provides strategic commercial advice on issues such as TUPE, collective redundancy processes, multijurisdictional advice projects, grievance and disciplinary processes, drafting and reviewing employment contracts and consultancy agreements and managing settlement projects.

Mehran also manages Employment Tribunal claims on behalf of clients, which include multiday discrimination claims, wrongful and unfair dismissal claims and pay-related claims. Mehran has experience engaging in the ACAS Early Conciliation process, advising clients at an early stage of any potential risks from both financial and reputational points of view.

Mehran has experience of working closely with clients in a range of sectors, including banking and finance, energy and infrastructure. Mehran also has experience of working with both public and private sector clients. During his training contract, Mehran spent six months on secondment with the in-house legal team of one of the world’s largest international airports.

Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Mehran obtained more than eight years’ paralegal experience practicing respondent-focused employment law both in-house and in private practice. Mehran handled Employment Tribunal claims, provided employment advice on corporate transactions, managed settlement projects and provided ad hoc advice to corporate entities in the private sector.

Mehran is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is on the Employment Lawyers Association Junior Committee.
