Matthew S. Smith graduated from Johns Hopkins University in May 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Business and Management. Before attending law school, he worked at J.P. Morgan as a Confirmation Specialist in the Secondary Loan Trading division for two years. He is currently a second-year law student at St. Johns University School of Law. Matthew recently participated as a lawyer-in-training for the St. John’s Securities Arbitration Clinic and will be participating as a legal intern for the St. John’s Bankruptcy Clinic next year. After graduation, he intends to practice in the areas of corporate, bankruptcy, securities, or tax law.
