Matthew R. Ozment is an Associate in the Greenville, South Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. As a former prosecutor and judicial clerk, he has extensive experience in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. Ozment served as a judicial clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Mary Gordon Baker in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Mr. Ozment spent over three years serving as an Assistant Solicitor and prosecuted numerous cases across South Carolina. Mr. Ozment additionally served as a judicial clerk to Judge William H. Seals, Jr. in the South Carolina Circuit Court.
While attending law school, Mr. Ozment gained experience as a clerk in the General Counsel’s Office for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. Mr. Ozment served on the editorial staff of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal.
