Professional Biography

Matthew Hall primarily focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, management-side employment matters and federal court practice. The diversity of his practice is reflected in the diversity of the clients he represents – from Fortune 100 companies to small and up-and-coming businesses and individuals. Matthew has worked to obtain seven-figure recoveries on behalf of his clients in breach of contract and insurance coverage actions and successfully defended other clients from multimillion-dollar claims of negligence.

As a clerk with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Matthew gained experience with high-profile federal court appeals. He also has served as a guest lecturer on various topics at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and the University of Tampa.

Prior to attending law school, Matthew served as a combat infantryman in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq in 2003 with the 4th Infantry Division. Accordingly, he knows the importance of service and continues to give back to the military veteran community and the community at large. He played instrumental roles in creating and leading the military and veterans’ affairs committees in Ybor City and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Matthew also created the first endowed scholarship for military veterans at University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is a life member of both the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and he is accredited to represent veterans’ benefits claims and assists veterans at no cost to secure their disability benefits.
