Mark R. Owens, a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana and Wilmington, Delaware, offices of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, is a member of the Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring and Corporate Departments. His practice includes business, commercial, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights issues, including workouts and loan restructurings; representation of secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, preference and fraudulent transfer defendants, lessors and landlords in bankruptcy cases; repossessions and general collections; and Uniform Commercial Code issues. Mr. Owens has experience with various commercial issues and has been involved in commercial litigation in numerous courts throughout the country, including in the federal courts in the District of Delaware and Southern District of New York and in various state courts in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Mr. Owens is the Chair of Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Motorsports Practice Group, which is comprised of approximately 36 attorneys throughout the Country. The Motorsports Practice Group has experience with and provides services concerning, inter alia, Contracts; Licensing; Labor and Employment; Immigration; Intellectual Property; Media, Vendor and Sponsor Issues; Corporate and Regulatory Issues; Tax and Wealth Management; Litigation; Antitrust; Project Financing and Economic Incentives; Real Estate; Creditors’ Rights; and Aviation.
