Maja Zerjal is an associate in the Business Solutions, Governance, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group. Her practice focuses on the representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, creditors and equity holders in in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
Maja has been involved in some of the largest reorganization cases in the United States. She is currently representing the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in its effort to restructure Puerto Rico’s outstanding debt load of more than $70 billion, and was previously involved in the representation of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico, which included the development and drafting of the Puerto Rico Public Corporation Debt Enforcement and Recovery Act.
