Professional Biography

Madeline Knight practices in Foley’s Business Law Department within the Health Care Group. Madeline began at Foley as a summer associate, assisting with health care corporate compliance, environmental practice problems, and medical drug and device approval. During her time as a summer associate, she was also worked on and published within the Cannabis Law industry team and aided with publications written in the Health Care Group. Additionally, she contributed to the authorship of several chapters on topics such as labor and employment law and sports law. 

While at Vanderbilt University Law School, Madeline served as the Executive Editor of Vanderbilt’s Journal of Entertainment and Technology law, the journal in which her own scholarship, An Epidemic in Enforceability, was published. Additionally, Madeline worked in Vanderbilt’s Stanton First Amendment Clinic, where she was awarded the Carl J. Ruskowski Clinical Legal Education Award, which recognizes the student who, in their representation of clients in the law school’s clinical program, demonstrated excellent in practice of law and best exemplified the highest standards of the legal profession. In the Nashville community, Madeline also served as the law student board member of the Tennessee Stonewall Bar Association.
