Lucy Ohlsen represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to professional liability, real estate litigation and employment disputes.
Lucy has defended numerous cases involving claims of breach of contract, employment discrimination, professional liability, legal malpractice and landlord-tenant law. Having spent several years doing plaintiff-side employment work, she takes a measured and realistic approach to the resolution of any dispute. She places an emphasis on clear, effective communication and is always happy to take the time to explain complicated legal concepts to her clients.
Previously, Lucy worked for the Oregon State Legislature’s Legislative Policy and Research Office. Primarily staffing the senate and house judiciary committees, she helped lawmakers, lobbyists and the public track understand and amend proposed legislation. Lucy also served as a judicial law clerk on the Oregon Court of Appeals. From these experiences, she possesses unique insights into state policymaking processes and statutory analysis.
