Ms. Preston defends employers in all phases of employment law litigation in state and federal court involving Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, and Chapters 21 and 451 of the Texas Labor Code. Additionally, Ms. Preston represents employers in all aspects of mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations, and in federal and state agency proceedings, including charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission-Civil Rights Division, unemployment claims before the Texas Workforce Commission, and wage and hour investigations by the Department Of Labor.
