Kate coordinates Congressional outreach and otherwise supports clients’ agendas by drafting policy memos, legislative activity updates, and Congressional hearing summaries. She previously worked as a Legislative Assistant and ultimately the Senior Legislative Assistant at Ogilvy Government Relations, supporting senior-level principals in addition to clients by coordinating fly-ins, monitoring legislative activity, drafting legislative research, and assisting with the editing process of the team’s weekly client newsletter.
Kate also served as a Congressional Intern and Congressional Fellow in the Office of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO). She supported the office in researching new pieces of legislation, drafting the Congressman’s speeches, and assisting with constituent casework in the district office. In addition, Kate worked as a writing tutor and consultant at her university and facilitated the college’s first-ever writing center support group.
