Joseph Stafford represents clients in state and federal courts and agencies, primarily in the areas of insurance coverage, commercial litigation and intellectual property. In that role, he has represented a wide range of clients, from large corporations and international franchisors to small businesses, artists and other individuals. In addition to his insurance coverage and litigation work, Joseph has experience prosecuting U.S. trademark and copyright applications, including conducting comprehensive searches and handling opinion letters and matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also gained valuable experience as an extern for Judge Harry D. Leinenweber of the Northern District of Illinois.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Joseph represented insurance companies and businesses in complex insurance coverage matters and defense litigation in state and federal courts. He enjoys evaluating and analyzing complex issues and interpreting the law to effectively advise clients. Joseph has provided pro bono legal services for Lawyers for the Creative Arts.
