Joe D’Andrea uses his experience as a litigator and small business owner to represent private sector clients in multistate labor and employment and general litigation matters.
He is also experienced handling the unique employment requirements of public sector clients, having advised and defended several cabinet-level agencies, universities, municipalities, boards and commissions in a variety of matters during his service at the firm and as an Assistant Attorney General.
Joe advises and defends employers in all aspects of federal, state and local labor and employment laws, including claims arising under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA and the Equal Pay Act. He has successfully defended employers from claims in state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitrations. A skilled negotiator, he offers clients a practical, straightforward approach to matters that reflects his business ownership experience.
In addition to his labor and employment practice, Joe has significant experience in government relations, having held positions at the White House and the Ohio Senate and working on political campaigns and statewide ballot initiatives.
Joe serves on the Section Counsel of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and is a co-editor of its newsletter. In the community, Joe is a member of Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board and volunteers at various local community events.
