Jessica Talar is a staff attorney in Cadwalader’s Intellectual Property Group, focusing her practice in litigation, including patent infringement suits before U.S. District Courts and International Trade Commission investigations. Jessica has extensive experience in all areas of litigation, from fact development and discovery through trial and appellate practice.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Jessica spent several years practicing complex securities litigation for one of New York City’s leading law firms. Before expanding her practice to New York, Jessica practiced civil litigation at a boutique firm in New Jersey where she gained invaluable courtroom experience with significant motion practice. She began her legal career in-house at a television production company where she negotiated licensing contracts for Emmy Award-winning programming.
Jessica received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. Prior to attending law school, she earned her B.A. from Susquehanna University.
Jessica is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
