Jeremy I. Senderowicz is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Investment Services practice group.
Mr. Senderowicz focuses his practice on advising registered investment companies, private funds and their investment advisers on a variety of matters pertaining to the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other securities laws. He is a leading practitioner in the area of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with extensive experience representing ETF sponsors and ETF fund complexes. His ETF clients include a wide range of asset managers, from startups to large, established firms. He has advised numerous ETF clients in launching novel products, including obtaining new regulatory relief for such products, and has obtained a large number of exemptive orders, no-action letters and other regulatory relief from the SEC on behalf of his ETF clients.
Mr. Senderowicz has also advised numerous clients in matters relating to cryptocurrency and blockchains, including proposed offerings of bitcoin ETFs and other issues relating to funds which invest in cryptocurrency and the use of blockchains by asset managers and in securities offerings.
Mr. Senderowicz also has significant experience with forming and providing ongoing advice to registered funds of hedge funds, other types of continuously offered closed-end funds and mutual funds. He has advised numerous clients regarding a wide variety of issues in building out their alternative fund product lines, including reorganizations and board matters.
Mr. Senderowicz has been recognized in The Legal 500 (U.S.) in the area of mutual/registered/exchange-traded funds. He was ranked by Chambers Global in the Investment Funds: Registered Funds category in 2022. He is a frequent speaker at conferences relating to asset management matters and has been featured in Reuters, Ignites, HFMWeek and other publications for financial services related topics. Mr. Senderowicz is fluent in Hebrew.
