Jennifer Bruneau Abbey is an associate in the firm’s Washington, DC office where she is a member of the oil, gas & resources and banking & asset finance groups. She represents energy and financial services companies on a variety of regulatory and finance matters primarily related to the natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and crude oil industries.
Ms. Abbey advises clients on a range of matters related to the development of natural gas pipeline and LNG export infrastructure pursuant to the Natural Gas Act (NGA). She assists clients with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) policies on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the terms and conditions of service included in pipeline tariffs as well as the Department of Energy’s (DOE) LNG licensing requirements. She assists investors exploring M&A opportunities with federal regulatory due diligence and those interested in the impact of the federal regulatory process on the development of energy infrastructure.
Ms. Abbey also represents lenders and borrowers in oil and gas financing transactions for onshore and offshore upstream and midstream oil and gas companies. She has worked on transactions for unsecured, secured, and borrowing base credit facilities, including financing the acquisition of distressed assets.
