JaVon A. Payton is an Associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Payton represents employers on traditional labor law issues, including union elections and unfair labor practice charges.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Payton worked as a general litigation associate at a firm in Orange County. She practiced in matters concerning fair housing and employment and family law. In addition, in 2017, Ms. Payton was selected to serve on the Board of Advisors for the Center of First Amendment Studies program at California State University, Long Beach, in which she provides her expertise regarding first amendment matters. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Payton participated in various moot court, as well as speech and debate competitions.
