Jason Wallace assists healthcare providers of virtually all types with their corporate, transactional, regulatory and compliance needs. Jason is dedicated to serving as a trusted adviser, counselor and team player. He focuses on listening to what each client needs in order to help them achieve their organizational objectives.
Jason is experienced in representing healthcare clients pursuing mergers, acquisitions, strategic affiliations and joint ventures, as well as those undergoing entity formation or restructuring, including the establishment of management service organizations. He provides general corporate guidance to and has conducted transactional matters for a variety of providers in the healthcare industry, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, hospice agencies, physician practices, retail clinics, pharmacies and dialysis centers.
Jason advises clients on compliance with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations, including fraud and abuse laws (the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law), corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting restrictions, provider scope of practice issues, medical practice and pharmacy practice acts, drug distribution laws, and human subject research protections.
He also assists healthcare providers with conducting internal compliance evaluations, and in responding to civil and criminal investigations brought by government agencies. Moreover, Jason advises clients on provider licensing, enrollment and reimbursement matters.
In addition to healthcare providers, Jason also represents colleges and universities in the development of policies and procedures to comply with regulations governing institutional review boards.
Notably, he completed the firm’s BT ValueWorks’ Legal Project Management (LPM) training and applies LPM techniques to the delivery of legal service.
