Jason M. Allison

Professional Biography

Mr. Allison is highly skilled at managing the creation, implementation and maintenance of information systems in highly structured and unstructured environments. He assists clients doing business with state and local government in complying with regulations, relying on his deep understanding of government operations and IT issues, combined with his years of experience in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Allison has served as CIO and executive director for Florida’s Agency for State Technology, the state’s enterprise information technology organization. As the agency’s leader, Mr. Allison was responsible for the management and direction of technology programs, services and policies. He identified efficiencies, increased IT coordination and compliance, and strengthened connections with agency and private sector businesses. His role included oversight of the agency’s operations, including the State Data Center, Security and Strategic Planning teams. He also oversaw the creation of robust infrastructure and enterprise architectures, as well as provided guidance on the development of IT policies, procedures, standards and rules.

Mr. Allison’s technology oversight experience also includes serving as information technology policy coordinator at Florida’s Executive Office of the Governor, Policy and Budget. In this role, he identified statewide policy issues and developed legislation to address shortfalls in state enterprise information technology governance, and analyzed and briefed the governor on legislative budget requests.

Prior to serving in the Governor’s office, Mr. Allison served as CIO and director of information technologies at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Mr. Allison was responsible for a $9 million budget and developed a comprehensive IT strategy for the department. He ensured data integrity and system security in an open government environment.
