Heidi Peters collaborates with lawyers on the labor and employment team to monitor, research and summarize state and local employment law and regulatory developments and to update clients on these changes. She also supports the labor and employment team in advising on human resources-related compliance issues.
Employment Compliance
Heidi assists in maintaining a database of state and local employment laws and updates in all 50 states and many local jurisdictions – empowering team attorneys to more easily assess clients’ practices and policies for compliance. She partners with information technology staff to develop innovative tools and systems for managing employment law issues.
Corporate Transactions Support
During transactions, Heidi manages employment-related virtual data room materials, issues and transactional documents to help deals reach a smooth conclusion.
Past Experience
With experience as a law firm labor and employment paralegal and an in-house human resources paralegal, Heidi understands key HR issues, as well as the pressures employers face in complying with state and local laws and managing personnel. As a paralegal, she assisted with employment compliance issues and also participated in an eight-week employment trial as lead paralegal. Heidi also previously worked in health and wellness.
