Geoffrey Zelley represents clients in the biotech and chemical fields in patent preparation and prosecution in the United States and abroad. His representation includes counseling and opinions, both as to potential validity/invalidity, or freedom to operate/noninfringement. He additionally prepares and prosecutes cases in other areas of technology, including the mechanical and the electrical arts. He manages a large docket of ongoing patent matters, providing suggestions tailored to obtain the broadest possible patent protection while avoiding unnecessary costs.
Geoffrey also has several years' experience in intellectual property litigation, including copyright and trademark, but mostly in the patent field. He has represented both sides of standard patent infringement cases, as well as patent owners in ANDA litigations. Geoffrey’s work spans numerous areas of discovery, including e-discovery, document collection, review, production and witness preparation and also the defense of false marketing litigation. His representation has included chemical companies, consumer product companies, and pharmaceutical companies.
