Galit focuses her practice on employment litigation, employment advice, and counseling.
Galit is a senior attorney on the labor and employment team. She litigates wage and hour class and collective actions, California representative Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, and single- and multi-plaintiff cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She advises employers on a variety of matters, including company policies, employee classifications, joint employment, discipline and termination decisions, accommodation, compensation practices, and noncompete agreements.
During law school, Galit served as an extern for the Honorable Gary A. Fees in the Central District of California (Ret.).
Relevant Experience
- Defending statewide wage and hour class actions against financial services client presenting meal period, rest break, off-the-clock, wage deduction, and other claims.
- Defending employers in single-plaintiff cases involving alleged violations of the California Labor Code, including pay equity, meal and rest break, overtime, minimum wage, and expense reimbursement laws.
- Regularly advising and counseling clients on employment matters, including employee classifications, payroll practices, incentive compensation, engagement with independent contractors, leaves policies, accommodation requests, and termination decisions.
