Evan is a commercial litigation attorney who focuses his practice on government investigations, privacy law, and other complex legal matters. His experience includes assisting non-profits with issues relating to defamation laws and writing legal memoranda on a variety of issues, including objective falsehood under the federal False Claims Act. Clients have also relied on him to help with compliance with state, national, and international privacy regulations.
Evan has conducted document review on complicated government contract matters, and drafted pretrial motions in data breach cases. He also attended an Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) conference, where he learned about compliance and presented a CLE event along with other attorneys.
Prior to joining Dinsmore, Evan worked as a law clerk in the United States Department of Justice where he assisted in defending individual federal employees against Bivens claims and other litigation arising out of on-the-job conduct. He drafted pretrial motions, conducted legal research and wrote internal memoranda, and assisted attorneys in depositions and oral arguments. Evan received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law.
