Professional Biography

Clients rely on Emil Infante for his strategic counsel in complex aspects of business law. Emil focuses his practice on family office services, securities, financial regulation, banking, restructuring, cross-border transactions and international dispute resolution. His experience includes working with the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA), anti-corruption, anti-money laundering investigations and compliance within the U.S. and Latin American markets, as well as experience with the Magnitsky Act.

Emil leverages his international experience when advising sovereign nations, foreign companies and family groups doing business in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean on complex corporate and financial matters. His experience serving as counsel in multiple international litigation and arbitration matters in the U.S., Latin America and Europe is also valuable when partnering with clients. In addition, Emil has significant experience as an arbitrator involving insurance claims and significant insurance coverage disputes at a national and international level.

Prior to practicing law, Emil worked as an investment adviser, advising high-net-worth individuals and institutions. He also worked for a Washington, D.C., financial advocacy organization where he promoted the interests of member companies in federal, legislative, regulatory and judicial forums to effectively communicate the benefits of competitive and integrated financial services to the public. Emil continues to serve as a visiting professor to St. Mary’s, the Institute on World Legal Problems, at Innsbruck, Austria. While there, he earned a certificate in international legal conflict resolution.
