Betsy Johnson is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she is a member of the investment management, hedge funds and alternative investments practice group.
Ms. Johnson advises registered investment companies and their independent board members on a broad range of regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters arising under U.S. federal securities laws and state corporation/trust laws. She has experience advising open-end and closed-end funds, including funds with multiple, unaffiliated sub-advisers, exchange-traded funds, insurance product funds, commodities funds using a Cayman subsidiary, and funds with strategies based in derivatives and international and emerging markets.
