David Gordon

Professional Biography

Dave Gordon is dual qualified, with a scientific background and Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology, and advises on both technical and legal issues arising from EU environmental regulation.

Dave is a recognised national expert in dealing with environmental compliance, sustainability and negotiation with statutory authorities and has particular experience in dealing with the negotiation and apportionment of environmental liability on large multijurisdictional M&A and real estate transactions.

Dave is one of the few environmental lawyers with “hands on” experience of enforcement under the UK Contaminated Land Regime and has advised on some of the largest regeneration projects in Europe, including environmental and remediation issues associated with the delivery of the 2012 London Olympics. His expertise also extends to cover energy and utility matters, having advised in this sector for over 10 years, increasingly in respect of renewable energy projects.

Dave is recognised by the Law Society for his chemical sector expertise, having gained a national profile advising on chemical regulatory issues such as REACH and CLP. In addition, he is recognised by The Legal 500 UKChambers UK and Best Lawyers UK.

Dave is an active member of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) and is on the board of PLC Environment.
