Daniella Silberstein is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group and a member of the firm’s board of directors. She serves as co-head of the mergers and acquisitions and private equity team. She counsels a broad range of public and private clients and focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate and securities matters.
Daniella advises clients on US and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-out transactions, joint ventures, spin-offs, and securities offerings. She also regularly represents clients in corporate governance matters and has assisted in defending against hostile takeovers and proxy contests.
Daniella has advised clients on both the buy-side and sell-side of transactions, including private equity firms and financial institutions, across industries such as healthcare, biotechnology, oil and gas, gaming, aviation, aerospace, and retail.
Among recent matters, Daniella represented a large healthcare foundation in a variety of transactions, including its acquisition of an urgent care and occupational health services business and its participation in numerous joint ventures. She has also recently represented private equity firms in acquisitions and dispositions of steel assets and oil and gas support service companies, and public companies in their acquisitions of an international aviation business and a specialty contractor business.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Daniella practiced at Wachtell Lipton in New York City. She teaches a class as an adjunct professor at Tulane Law School on negotiating M&A transactions.
