Daniel Stander is an Associate at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment group in the London office.
Mr. Stander has experience in dealing with non-contentious and contentious matters for both employers and senior executives. In particular, he has experience in the following areas: day to day UK and international employment and multi-jurisdictional HR issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and advising on, preparing and negotiating settlement agreements. Mr. Stander has a particular interest in mental health issues and wellbeing in the workplace and is an accredited Mental Health First Aider.
He also provides advice to clients on senior level exits, disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes, and assists in drafting employment contracts, restrictive covenants, consultancy agreements and company policies. Additionally, he advises in connection with employment litigation matters and is familiar with both court and employment tribunal processes.
Mr. Stander has provided counsel to various business sectors including retail, health care, not-for-profit organisations, small and medium-sized enterprises, media, and leisure and hospitality.
Mr. Stander is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and London Young Lawyers Group. In his free time, he serves as a mentor to students on his law school’s mentoring scheme, and also serves as pro bono counsel for a number of non-profit organisations.
