Dahlia Seligman is a third-year student at Michigan State University College of Law, in East Lansing, Michigan who will be graduating in May 2016. Dahlia has consistently competed in trial advocacy and arbitration competitions while receiving recognition. Dahlia has participated in numerous externships throughout her time in law school. In her 2L year, Dahlia externed for the Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina at the 30th Judicial Circuit Court in Lansing, Michigan, where she wrote bench memorandums and final orders for both civil and criminal cases. Dahlia later externed at the Office of the Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel for the Senate of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where she was able to assist in drafting proposed legislation, drafting contracts, and researching several areas of the law. In the fall semester of Dahlia’s 3L year, she externed at the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office in Howell, Michigan, where Dahlia’s greatest accomplishment was when she successfully tried a criminal bench trial in district court.
