Cynthia Burton is an associate in the firm’s Brussels office. Her practice encompasses regulatory counselling and strategic advice. Ms. Burton advises clients under EU, French, US and Canadian law.
Ms. Burton advises clients on regulatory issues such as the approval paths for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, marketing practices, clinical trials, safety issues, food legislation and the rules governing cosmetics.
Ms. Burton’s practice also covers data privacy rules and litigation. She advises clients on a range of information technology regulatory issues, particularly data protection, e-commerce and data security matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Burton worked in the Legal Service of the European Parliament, where her duties included advising on EU law and managing EU litigation. She now assists clients in crafting comprehensive legislative and regulatory strategies in such diverse industries as pharmaceuticals, food products, technology, telecommunications and financial services.
